This award winning lodge is in a private area adjacent to Volcanoes National Park managed by Wilderness for conservation and reforestation. It is not a conventional reserve — its purpose is to expand gorilla and montane forest habitat.

There are six unique en-suite forest villas, designed as a homage to Rwandan royalty, overlooking Bisoke, Karisimbi and Mikeno volcanoes. 

The main area has  lounge and dining sections, a wine cellar, library, spa, restaurant, and tree nursery, woven through with warm hospitality complete this natural wonder.

The Sanctuary at Bisate offers rejuvenating wellness treatments and has a heated salt-water indoor lap pool, a hydrotherapy lounge with hot-rock sauna, steam room, and outdoor ice bath, meditation pods, a gym and yoga deck and massage rooms.

Bisate Kwanda Day Lounge is a dedicated space for early arrivals and late departures. It allows guests to comfortably shower, change and enjoy light meals. 

Activities include gorilla trekking, Golden Monkey trekking, birding and community visits.
