The lodge is perched high on a ridge with dramatic views overlooking the Virunga Volcanoes, Musanze valley, Lake Bulera and Lake Ruhondo.

There are 10 luxury bandas - 6 doubles, 2 twins, 3 deluxe, all with a fireplace in the room and a terrace overlooking the volcanoes or the twin lakes; and 3 larger deluxe bandas perfect for families. Rooms have a 

personal butler service.

The main complex houses the lounge, bar and dining areas and the Ikirunga Spa.

Activities include gorilla trekking, Golden Monkey trekking, birding, volcano hikes, cultural walks and community visits.

Children: no under 12, no under 15 on gorilla treks
