VICTORIA FALLS

Heading 1

KAYILA CAMP

This colonial gem was built by the British in 1904, with the hotel originally planned as accommodation for workers on the Cape-to-Cairo railway. Steeped in history and one of the oldest Hotels in Africa, it was built and operated by the railways administration, but in the early 1970s it was leased to the then Southern Sun hotel group.

The hotel is still owned by the National Railways of Zimbabwe and there is a shared 50/50 partnership operation between African Sun and Meikles Africa.

It’s in a prime location, in the town centre, with views of the bridge and spray from the Falls.

There are 149 rooms and suites; 44 of these are Deluxe Rooms in the stand-alone Stables Signature Wing - ideal for groups, with their own central courtyard, private lounge, exclusive check-in area, and direct access to the front lawns.

The remaining rooms are made up of 55 Standard Rooms, 30 Classic Rooms, 11 Premium Rooms, 4 Deluxe Suites, 3 Executive Suites, a Royal Batoka Suite and a Presidential Suite.

There are two restaurants – the formal Livingstone Room and the thatched outdoor-style Jungle Junction. There is a gym and spa onsite as well as a large pool.

The hotel has a tours desk for all the Falls activities.

Children: all ages welcome

Open: year round
