KAYILA CAMP

Manta is set on a quiet stretch of shoreline at the remote northern tip of the island, spread out along the beach and slightly elevated above the water.

There are 16 rooms built with makuti thatched roofs, light stone walls and tall glass doors; of these 5 are seafront villas with private pools, 4 are superior garden rooms and the remaining 4 are standard garden rooms. There are 2 two-bedroomed oceanview villas with a connecting lounge, private plunge pools and a sun deck; and a seafront double villa.

The resort also has a unique Underwater Room - an offshore three-level structure anchored approximately 250 metres from shore in the Pemba Channel. The bedroom sits four metres below sea level, surrounded by near-360° glass with direct views of the reef. A lounge, bathroom and outdoor deck occupy the upper two levels.

Activities include snorkelling, spa treatments, Ngalawa sunset cruise, lighthouse walk, diving, a sandbank excursion, and an inland spice farm and rainforest tour.
