HWANGE NATIONAL PARK

Heading 1

KAYILA CAMP

Built in 1992 by the late Tom Preston, The Hide is still in the family to this day. It is in a private concession in the park, on the eastern boundary - set in shady woodland overlooking a natural waterhole.

The iconic large main A-frame dining and lounge area, with an upstairs viewing platform dominates the camp; with the 10 canvas under thatch A-frames spreading out on either side. Two of these are family tents. There is an underground hide in camp.

The Private Hide is at the western end of the camp and is a separate unit for families or small groups of up to eight guests. It has its own lounge and dining area with a plunge pool. Private groups are allocated a combination of tents 4,5,6 and 7 and their own private guide and vehicle for their stay.

Exclusive use Tom's Litte Hide is on the eastern end of the camp and has four en-suite rooms and its own central lounge and dining unit. It comes with a private vehicle and guide.

The Dove's Nest is a romantic treehouse sleep-out option for 2 about 10 minutes from the main camp.

Activities include game drives and walking safaris.

Children: no under 10 in The Hide, all ages welcome at the Private Hide and Tom's Little Hide. Adults only in the Dove's Nest.

Open: year round
