This was the first of Alex Walker’s camps, and it captures the essence of its name: meaning ‘peaceful, calm, serene’ in the Masai language.

It is in the private Mara North Conservancy set along the Mara River and there are 5 tents – one of which is a family unit. The tents are set on hardwood decking with adjoining bush bathrooms under thatch with hot and cold running water, flush toilet, and a shower and custom-made bathtub.

The comfortable thatched mess area overlooks the river and Siria escarpment.

Activities include game drives and bush walks. Hot air balloon safaris are also available.
