Set on the western edge of the park in amongst an albida (winterthorn) forest on the banks of the Zambezi River, this Wilderness Safaris camp is a favourite of many.

Ruckomechi has ten spacious tented suites (including two family units) connected to the main area by sandy pathways. The central unit is raised on wooden decking with a lounge, bar and dining area, a pool and a sunken open air fire pit. There is a sleep-out option up on a platform at Parachute Pan for the more adventurous; and the camp has an outdoor bath with river views.

Activities include game drives, walking safaris, boating, fishing and canoeing (water levels permitting).

Children: no under 6 (age restrictions on activities)
