RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

Heading 1

KAYILA CAMP

This was the first accommodation in the Foxes Safari Camps’ collection of properties,  established in January 1982 along the Ruaha River. It was the only safari camp in the park for two decades so enjoys a prime remote location.

The main lodge is up on a kopje (a small, rocky hill) overlooking the river below and houses the lounge, bar and dining areas and open firepit.

There are 24 spacious, en-suite stone bandas nestled amidst the acacia riverine acacia thickets along the riverbank. Each unit extends onto a large, private wooden deck that descends to a secluded seating area along the riverbank.

Activities include game drives and bush walks, and extra activities are fly camping and hot air balloon flights.

Children: all ages welcome

Open: year round
