The lodge sits on the banks of the Zambezi River under a grove of shady trees just outside the national park.

The main complex houses the large, thatched lounge and reception area with the Sausage Tree Bar and infinity pool just downstream on a deck over the river.  The lodge cuisine has won several awards as has their bush spa.

There are fifteen rooms - eight Deluxe Suites and seven Presidential Suites - airy canopied tents nestling under mature trees. A dedicated family unit comprising  Deluxe suites 6 & 7 has shared seating area between the rooms.

Activities include game drives, walking safaris, river cruises, canoeing and fishing.

The game drive vehicles generally leave from a point above the lodge - up a long flight of stairs - although the option is there for a lodge-side pickup.
