KAYILA CAMP
Royal Chundu is on the banks of the Zambezi River 30km upstream from the Victoria Falls on a 15 km stretch of private waterway, which is protected by two sets of rapids.
The property has two lodges - a blend colonial elegance and African charm, with accommodation in 14 thatched villas. 10 are on the banks of the river and 4 on the nearby private Katombora Island. River Lodge has an upstairs library and lounge, an
open plan downstairs bar with 2 lounges and fireplace, in and outdoor dining areas including a boma. There is a rim flow swimming pool, spa and a children’s club. The lodge offers the option of a high platform sleep-out deck - weather permitting.
Island Lodge has an open plan dining, a lounge and bar area and swimming pool.
On site activities include sunset and sunrise river cruises, island walks, canoeing, the Mothers of Mushekwa village visits, fishing and drives to the Munyanya flood plain. Also, from June to August guests can enjoy the annual Parrotfish Run.
