KAYILA CAMP
This bush camp is set on a private concession along the southern shores of Lake Kariba within the north-western section of Matusadona National Park.
Seven chalets are nestled within the jesse bush, raised on wooden platforms with thatched roofs and open fronts facing the lake. The chalets were inspired by the traditional BaTonga palafittas — stilted huts built on mopane poles.
The main area is a thatched unit also up on stilts, with a second seating area under the platform - all set in soft sandy soils.
Activities include game drives, walks, boat cruises and fishing.
Children: no under 12
Open: year round
