Within the Mala Mala Game Reserve, which sits between the Sabi Sand Bature Reserve and Kruger National Park, Rattray’s has a 3,500-hectare (33,000-acre) traverse area.

Named in honour of Mike and Norma Rattray, whose vision helped shape MalaMala Game Reserve, the lodge has a sense of home set within a lush grove of trees and green lawns.

There are 8 guests suites with private verandahs and plunge pools. The main area has indoor and outdoor dining, a boma, library and lounge. There is a spa and gym overlooking the main lodge pool.

Activities include game drives and seasonal bush walks.
