Situated halfway up the east coast of the island Pongwe is about an hour from the airport and Stone Town.

The 23 rooms are all east facing with sunrise views and within walking distance of the beach, and main area housing the bar, restaurant and infinity pool. The rooms are made up of garden rooms, beachfront rooms, sea view suites, 2 bedroomed beachfront suits, cliff ocean suites and a cliff ocean superior suite.

The restaurant menu in Gabriel’s Kitchen changes daily depending on what the boats bring in – assuring seasonal, fresh fare.

Activities include mountain biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling and fishing, and tours to Stone Town, spice farms and Prison Island.

Children: all ages welcome.
