KAYILA CAMP
The lodge was established in 1994, on the banks of the River Nile on a 32 hectare property. It underwent a full renovation focusing on eco-friendly architecture in 2018/19 - with grass-thatched roofs and open structures to maximise airflow.
The main lodge houses the lounge, bar and restaurant areas along with an infinity pool and the Mtoni Spa.
Accommodation is in 8 luxurious Banda (Villas) - 6 Deluxe Bandas, 1 Family Villa and 1 Exclusive Banda. Each has a thatched roof, spacious seating area, day bed, en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor showers and a private viewing deck. The exclusive Banda has a plunge pool and star bed, and the 2 bedroom family villa has a private pool and day bed.
Activities include wildlife drives, Nile River cruises, hikes to the top of the Falls, fishing, community walks, chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest, and rhino trekking in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
