KAYILA CAMP
Nehimba, part of the Imvelo portfolio, is a timber, thatch and canvas camp in an exclusive 43,500-acre portion of northern Hwange National Park.
The lodge is designed around a waterhole that provides mineral-rich water - a wildlife magnet in the dry season. The central area and the nine chalets, including two family units, are raised on teak decks with open-air bathrooms. The main lodge houses the dining room, lounge and bar area with views over the waterhole and elephants often drink from the plunge pool.
Not far from the lodge is Nehimba Seeps, a site of special conservation interest where once the San hunter-gatherers used holes excavated by elephants to find water during the dry season.
Activities include game drives and walking safaris.
Children: no under 7 (unless by special arrangement)
Open: year round
