Named after the local Kaonde name for monkey-bread tree, Musekese lies just 25 minutes by boat from Lufupa airstrip in the centre of the park. The camp is on low ridge overlooking a long, seasonally flooded grassland not far from the Kafue River.

A large, thatched roof and deck at the heart of the camp provides shade in the heat of the day and there are four guest units. The comfortable rooms and open-air en suite bathrooms are screened by panels of thatch and gauze.

Activities include walking safaris, game drives, boat cruises and (seasonal) fishing. There are several wildlife photo hides and an option to walk to Chibembe saltpan - for the very fit.
