Nestled along the Zambezi River, deep inside the Zambezi National Park, Mpala Jena is a 40-minute boat transfer from Victoria Falls. The camp falls within the Great Plains portfolio and consists of main camp and private villas.

The main camp has just 5 suites - three large double or twin-bed configuration suites, and two 2-bedroom family suites. They are all under sand-coloured, flowing canvas, with canopy ceilings and open views of the river.  The suites have private verandas, indoor and outdoor showers, and outdoor bathtubs.

The sand floor in the main camp’s thatched bar area and the neighbouring swimming pool create a barefoot luxury setting.

Just 5km upstream from Mpala Jena, the first of two thatched Private Villas opened in August 2025. Each villa features a private main area, swimming pool, three luxurious riverfront suites, and include services of a private butler, safari vehicle, and guide.

Activities include game drives and walks in the park, and river cruises in flat-bottomed motorised boats and a traditional Zanzibari dhow. Tours of the Falls and other adventure activities are easily arranged.
