This picturesque  hotel and vineyard is in the town of Franschhoek just under an hour’s drive from Cape Town. The grounds at Mont Rochelle cover 39 hectares (about 100 acres) and there are two restaurants, a cosy bar, a spa, a gym and a heated outdoor pool. 

There are 26 rooms and suites - five different types of rooms including four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds all featuring courtyard or valley views. Six larger Merlot Rooms with king-size beds with valley views. The six Cabernet Rooms include a private terrace overlooking the valley. There are also four even more spacious Pinotage Suites, which each feature a separate lounge and fantastic views. There are two Cap Classique Suites, with a separate lounge area, a private terrace and their own plunge pool. Then there are four rooms and suites at The Manor House which is located close to the Vineyard and Country Kitchen. 

Activities include wine tasting & cellar visits, mountain biking and hiking.
