KAYILA CAMP
Machaba Camp is a classic traditional camp on the banks of the Khwai River in the Khwai Concession in the northeast of the delta. The name Machaba is the local Setswana name for the Sycamore Fig Tree, the tree of life – and the camp is set along a riverine tree line.
The camp is built in the classic 1950’s style, with luxury safari tents, en suite bathrooms and outdoor showers. All the tents are on ground level and the pathways to the tents meander between the large riverine trees.
There are 10 tented rooms, including 2 family tents.
There is a pool and in room (or by the pool) massage treatments available.
Activities include game drives, seasonal walking safaris and mokoro rides.
Children: all ages welcome
Open: all year round
