KAYILA CAMP

Loapi is a collection of six individual safari homes surrounded by open savannah grasslands against the backdrop of the Korannaberg mountains. There are 4 one-bedroom homes and 2 two-bedroom homes with 50 metres (165 feet) between each stand-alone residence. The homes are designed for exclusive use, each operating as a mini camp (there are no communal or shared guest areas or services).

In Setswana, Loapi means ‘the space below the clouds’, a fitting description of the camp’s modular design, combining canvas, glass and steel. The bedrooms have indoor and outdoor showers (no bath tub); and the living and dining areas of each home include an interactive kitchen, fully stocked pantry, and a bar. Outside, shaded decks provide areas for dining and lounging with a plunge pool and a fire pit. In-room spa treatments are available.

Each home is managed by a dedicated homathi (house manager) and chef, and every booking includes a private safari vehicle, as well as a dedicated guide and tracker.

For a secluded night out - Malori, meaning ‘dreamer’ in Setswana, is Tswalu’s under-canvas experience overlooking the rolling dunes and the vast veld stretching to the horizon. It is a classic safari tent, with twin beds, elevated above the dunes with an outdoor bathroom - under the stars.

Activities include game drives, bush walks, meerkat experiences and horse riding.

Children: all ages welcome
