This Wilderness Safaris lodge is ideally situated on 27,000 hectares of private land at the foot of the Sossusvlei dunes, surrounded by miles of ancient desert. Its exclusive-use gate allows guests early access to explore the dunes of Sossusvlei and iconic Dead Vlei.

There are 21 thatch-and-canvas rooms (including two family units) are built on raised wooden platforms, with flat rooftop areas for sleep-outs under the clear night sky.

The main area comfortable and elegant open living area, sparkling pool and wraparound deck overlooking a waterhole comprise the public main area. Antiquated tree trunks used as pillars create a striking natural feature that draws you further into this remarkable desert realm.

Little Kulala is a classic tented, sister camp, with just 11 guest suites  – 14km away.

Activities include scenic game drives and nature walks, visits to Sossusvlei & Dead Vlei and Sesriem Canyon and guided fat-wheeled e-bike excursions. Balloon flights are also available.
