This delightful property is set in 5 acres of lush gardens and tall trees in the leafy Karen suburb just outside of downtown Nairobi. Renowned Danish author Karen Blixen, famous for her memoir Out of Africa, lived and worked on the estate from 1917 to 1931, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.

Today, the estate has been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel with 13 ensuite cottages. There are 4 restaurants – the Atrium Bar, Babette’s Fine Dining, Hatton’s Lounge and Bar and the Garden Restaurant. There is a heated pool and a spa.

Nearby attractions are the Oloolua Nature Trail, The Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre, Kazuri Beads Factory, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Nairobi National Park.
