A Ker & Downey camp, Kanana’s private concession is on the Xudum River, in the southwest of the delta offering both land and seasonal water activities. The area is made up of islands dotted with palms, figs, ebony and Knobthorns interspersed with woodland and grassland belts.

The large under thatch main area comprises of the lounge, dining are bar sections overlooking the firepit and across the floodplains. There is a swimming pool to cool off in the heat of the day.

There are seven spacious twin and double-bedded safari tents; families are accommodated in a two bedroomed tent with two separate ensuite-bathrooms – ideal for families in this child-friendly camp.  There is a sleep out deck for a night under the stars for the more adventurous. 

Activities include game drives, walking safaris and seasonal boating, fishing and mokoro rides.
