KAYILA CAMP

The lodge is situated in the Namwala Game Management Area (GMA) on a remote stretch of the Kafue River - opposite the national park which is just a 10-minute boat trip away.

The lodge has a central dining and bar area and a variety of accommodation.

There are 6 double Meru-style tents with en-suite bathrooms, set on raised individual private wooden decks overlooking the river.

The Finfoot family house consists of 2 bedrooms (one queen, one twin) and a central living area opening onto a private deck overlooking the river.

The Tonga-treebaskets, constructed from local Muchinga, offer a unique stay under the stars close to nature. Seasonally set in trees at river locations for a group of up to six. There is a bucket ‘bathroom’ and an ash-pit drum toilet. Available August - October.

Kaingu also has three fully private campsites, each with its own shower and toilet block as well as washing-up areas and a thatched shelter.

Activities include game drives, river cruises, nature walks, canoeing and seasonal fishing.

Children: all ages welcome

Open: 1 April - 30 November (March and December available for group bookings on request only)
