Kafunta River Lodge is located on the edge of the floodplain overlooking the Luangwa River just outside the park.

The main area includes an infinity pool, a natural geothermal hot tub, open-air dining decks, a lounge and bar area, and an intimate spa set beneath a large fig tree.

There is a photographic hide set in front of the main lounge area.

There eight private safari chalets and two spacious suites, each with private decks, sitting areas. The suits have a mezzanine with additional day beds and an open balcony.

Activities are focused on game drives, but early morning walks can also be arranged.
