MADIKWE GAME RESERVE

Heading 1

KAYILA CAMP

This family-owned lodge is in the eastern section of the reserve, along the banks of the Marico River. It has had an extensive rebuild in 2026 offering a flexible collection of accommodation options for couples, families and groups.

The main lodge has ten guest rooms -  six Safari Suites with private viewing deck overlooking the reserve, and the four Safari Suite Expeditions are designed with families in mind - with additional sleeping space for up to two children.

There are three private-use villa options, each with private game vehicle, field guide, chef and host.

Kubu Villa is a three-bedroom riverside retreat set along the Marico River; and three-bedroom Nare Villa overlooks a private waterhole. Both with generous indoor and outdoor living spaces, a private heated plunge pool and fire pit.

Jaci’s Madikwe House has five bedrooms, sweeping 270-degree views, a private heated plunge pool, wood-fired hot tub, dedicated living and dining spaces.

The Terrapin Hide offers a rare water-level perspective for photographers, while Thutlwa Lookout and other lodge spaces allow guests to remain connected to the surrounding bush throughout the day.

The Naledi Sleepout offers guests a night beneath the stars above a waterhole, complete with a canopied king-size bed, outdoor shower and private wood-fired hot tub.

Spa treatments are available on request in the Finfoot Treatment Room and the Gym Box has workout equipment for the more energetic.

Activities include game drives and nature walks, and there is a dedicated children’s program.
