KAYILA CAMP
The camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree Acacia Tortilis (now Vachellia tortilis), a sight synonymous with East Africa. It is in the private 30,000-acre Kitirua Conservancy on the western edge of the park.
Accommodation is in 16 double ensuite canvas tents, under thatch, with verandahs; a 2 bedroom family tent and a 2 bedroom Private house. The family tent and private house share a swimming pool and run independently of the main camp.
There is a main lounge, bar and dining area, built with natural materials and thatched roofs, with wonderful views of Kilimanjaro. The main lodge has a pool and a spa.
Activities include game drives and bush walks; Maasai cultural visits and balloon safaris are available at an extra cost.
Children: all ages welcome
Open: year round
