KAYILA CAMP

This low-impact seasonal safari camp, named after the traditional clay drinking pot chicari, overlooks a wildlife-rich pan that holds water year-round. Surrounded by fever trees and woodland, this serene setting offers uninterrupted views of the park’s wildlife and landscapes.

The main area has a lounge, dining area, bar and a fire pit.

There are eight en-suite safari tents with private decks overlooking the pan; and the Treehide Unit consists of two safari tents located at the base of an elevated wooden tree hide. The tents share a spacious viewing deck, making this unit ideal for two couples or a family travelling together while still enjoying the privacy of separate en-suite tents.

Activities include game drives, walking safaris, boating (seasonal), community visits, E.O Wilson Lab tours, Mt Gorongosa day trip (extra), pangolin foraging walks (included on stays of 5+ nights), night drives (extra), and Helicopter flights (extra).

Children: no under 12

Open: 1 April – 30 November
