HWANGE NATIONAL PARK

Heading 1

KAYILA CAMP

Camp Silwane is in a remote conservation area near the south-eastern border of the park. The name of the camp comes from the Ndebele name for lion - "isilwane".

The Silwane area has three prolific permanent waterholes, as well as seasonal pans - and wildlife roams between the (unfenced) concession and the park.

There are ten tented en-suite chalets set in the shade of African rosewood trees - some set at ground level and other on raised teak decking under thatch.

Somadada Platform is a sleeping under the stars option overlooking a waterhole (only in the dry season).

For the intrepid traveller there are 2 campsites - Acacia Grove and Hamerkop.

Activities include game drives and walking safaris on the concession, and drives into the park can easily be arranged.

Children: all ages welcome

Open: year round
