The lodge is set in a forested hillside within the National Park, a short walking distance from the meeting point for gorilla tracking and other activities in the Buhoma area. 

An elevated central area, complete with lounge, bar and dining area has a homely ambience and the resident L'Hoest's  monkey troop visit the gardens in front of the lodge almost daily. The lodge has a spa for post trekking massages.

There are ten wooden chalets with rain showers and some with bathtubs – each with private verandas.

Activities include gorilla treks, jungle walks and Bwindi community tours.
