Chichele Presidential Lodge holds the South Luangwa’s prime vantage point, with panoramic 360 degree views. This historic retreat was originally built as a holiday home for Zambia’s founding President, Dr Kenneth Kaunda, and to host visiting dignitaries. It has been reimagined and rebuilt to the of highest standards and into what is one of Africa’s most luxurious safari lodges.


There are 10 vista suites and a Safari Lounge links two of the suits offering a family retreat. The rooms each have a plunge pool and private viewing deck. Facilities include a gym, spa and pool deck.

Activities include game drives and walking safaris.
