Sanctuary Retreats Chief's Camp

Sanctuary Chief’s Camp is a luxury camp situated on Chief’s Island in the
exclusive Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve. This area is
considered to have the finest game viewing in Southern Africa including
the Big Five. Guest accommodation is comprised of 12 secluded, permanent luxury bush pavilions. The main deck area is split-level and offers expansive views over the floodplain while the lower level of the  deck houses an exquisite swimming pool.

Sanctuary Chief’s Camp is located in the Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve. This region is known as the “predator capital” of Africa and is the ideal setting for game viewing.

Chief’s has its own licensed private airstrip which is located approximately two kilometres from the camp. Chief’s camp is accessible by air from Maun (25 minutes), Kasane (1 hour 30 minutes) and all other delta camps. Please note the luggage restriction is 20kg per person in a soft-sided bag.

 

The camp, constructed on a greenfield site, is made up of 12 luxury bush pavilions. Each pavilion boasts a spacious seating area and private game viewing deck. En-suite facilities include an indoor and outdoor shower.  Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, ceiling fan, in-room safe, emergency intercom and minibar. The main lodge complex houses the dining area, bar, curio shop, library and reception area. The main deck
area is split-level and offers expansive views over the floodplain to the north. The lower level of the deck houses the swimming pool. There is a treatment room at the camp with a range of treatments using Thalgo and Africology products. Electricity is supplied by a silent generator system allowing 24-hour power supply.
