Kafue National Park

Over 490 bird species have been recorded in this massive park, making it a birdlover's paradise.   Pelicans, storks, herons, Locust Finch, Rosy-throated and Fulleborn's Longclaws, Kori and Denham's bustards, Blue-breasted Bee-eater, Pale- Billed Hornbill, Miombo Pied Barbet and Red-capped Crombec can all be seen, along with the wattle-grain, of which over half the numbers recorded worldwide are in Zambia.

Lions The 22 500 square kilometre Kafue National Park is home to more than birdlife.  One of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa, the Park's northern area includes the Busanaga Plains wetlands - wetlands that are untouched by human development.   The 750 square kilometre wetlands is home to thousands of red lechwe, puku, roan and sable, herds of tsessebe, hartebeest, zebra and buffalo, which in turn attract predators like leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs and lions.
